Recently, the OnlyFans model Sophie Rain, a woman living in Florida, donated a sum of $121,000 in income from her site subscription to Feeding America, a non-profit distributing food among the hungry poor in the USA. This happened 24 hours after her donation announcement, telling subscribers that she would donate every penny earned on September 30th.

I decided from the outset of all this that 100% what money was earned by, would go directly to Feeding America, Sophie Rain tells Mid Breaker exclusively.

More than half of the 48 million people served by Feeding America are children. Even so, the organization proudly boasts on its website that a dollar can be turned into “at least 10 meals” for those who need it.

According to Feed America, this meant that Rain’s 21-year-old contribution helped provide food for nearly 1.2 million people. But Sophie Rain’s bout of generosity was anything but random. It’s a response, she explains, to growing up with the experience of food insecurity herself.

The adult entertainer first rolled out a #GoonForGood campaign in September as a “joke,” but had no idea it would catch on.

“It was originally a birthday thing,” Sophie Rain says. “To be honest, I was throwing the idea out in jest to fans that we needed to do something ‘goon for good’ and fundraise while being as they already were,” he said.

Instead, she would go on to raise more money than she ever thought possible for those who couldn’t afford to put food on the table.

“I know what it’s like to open the fridge and not have much there,” Sophie Rain shares. “I know what it’s like to see your parents stress about groceries, and make the choice between paying rent or feeding the family.”

In December 2024, Rain told PEOPLE she grew up poor in a devout Christian household that often lived off food stamps. Having witnessed hardship firsthand and seen friends face similar challenges over the years, Sophie Rain is now motivated to give back to her family, as well as those experiencing the same struggles today.

“Food insecurity does not care who you are or what job you may have,” Ms. Rain observes. “So long as i am making a living and earning money, I will donate even more.”

Up to September 2025, Sophie Rain has accumulated a gross household wealth of $85.4 million. One manager explained that in these last four months, she expects to end the year with $110 million, which would make her the highest-earning OnlyFans creator in history.

As of press time, Feeding America had not yet been officially contacted about the donation by Ms. Rain, nor have they responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Though it is not her first time to give back (in August, she pledged $1 million of her own money to a clean water project run by YouTube star MrBeast), Sophie Rain now plans to expand these efforts and work on raising funds for all sorts of causes she feels passionately about.

Sophie Rain tells Mid Breaker that she has already started planning her next campaign, which will be launching just in time, according to her, for the holidays.

In the face of criticism from the public about using adult content alongside charitable works, she remains undeterred and continues to focus on using her platform as best she can in order to effect change for good.

“People already judge us enough,” she says. “If you wait until everyone approves, indeed, nothing will ever happen. My suggestion is super-simple: do whatever your heart tells you. Judgment is immaterial. You don’t have to be dignified to make an impact. “
