Giving up coffee might have been the best thing Meghan Trainor ever did — and it all began with a piece of advice from a psychic.
The 31-year-old pop singer recently spoke to PEOPLE about her upcoming Get in Girl Tour and new single “Still Don’t Care. Speaking with Mid Breaker about juggling touring as a mother of two, Meghan Trainor says she was sworn off from leaving the road after her husband, Daryl Sabara, visited a psychic.

“The psychic never met me. My husband was given a session with her and she said, ‘Your wife is using coffee like speed. She’s nonstop and that’s not doing her any good and she’s just passing out,'” Meghan Trainor says.
“I was like, ‘How does she know this? And he came home and told me, and I stopped right away,” she says. “Cold turkey just did end up happening because I had been drinking it all day to be sort of afloat and steady, and then you crash, and you’re buzzing at night to go to sleep.”
At the time, the “Made You Look” singer said her “adrenals were shot” and her hormones were “so off.”
“I wasn’t feeling great. And I was like, ‘I don’t get it. I eat so healthy, I work out. Why do I feel like this?’ And I was like, ‘I think I’m stretching myself thin,'”Meghan Trainor says.
Going cold turkey was no small matter, though. It’s been a ”tough week,” Meghan Trainor says, but now she has “more energy than ever.”
“It was life-changing,” she says.
The “All About That Bass” singer has no new plan for her coming tour, which starts in June 2026: “No sleep, power through and thrive,” she said.
“I will do the show. We wake up at 7 a.m. because the kids wake up at 7 a.m. and then we go do something, an amusement park or museum. They’re obsessed with children’s museums … and then we share lunch together, I do a soundcheck and then we have early dinner so I don’t burp on stage,” she says.

“We walk them out to the bus and put them to bed once they are good to go,” Meghan Trainor added. And I do the show, and I get to sleep by 11 or midnight. And then we wake up, and it’s Groundhog Day, and we do it all over again.
The Get in Girl Tour is named after Trainor’s sophomore studio album, which will be released April 24, 2026. On Nov. 12, she shared the first single from it, “Still Don’t Care.”
“And post soundcheck, I’m in full glam, like pop star outfit, and I’m helping our phenomenal nanny Leslie who we brought in to help me and my husband and my mom,” she adds. “There’s four of us on two kids trying to get them in a bath we have to unfold to put in this shower. It’s chaos.”
